The Sparkle I Didn't Know I Needed
Summer cocktails call for a little extra shine—and I’m answering in sequins.
At 60-something, I’ve learned that sparkle isn’t about age, it’s 100% about attitude. And when I slipped into this shimmering set from Sanctuary Clothing, it felt like the perfect set for cocktails on a roof: I’m thinking Funke here in Beverly Hills, or Dante, at The Mayborne hotel, oh, and…The top of the Waldorph Hotel, ok, well, anywhere where you’re in the mood to soak up a little sun at a slower pace!
I usually save sequins for the holidays, but the muted color was a conversation starter, in a way, you blend in and stand out. Below, I wore it with a white T-shirt and a white linen button-down. It’s so lightweight, and that’s a travel A++. I feel like it’s just the right amount of glam without going over the top. Sunglasses

This was an easy outfit to get creative with. I love when sequins become casual but still so chic. I clean out and organize my closet once a month, and I love it when I'm inspired to use my bags and accessories from years past. Here is the Orange Bag from 25 years ago. I’m not sure if Betinna Duncan designs bags anymore, but I’m thrilled I saved this one!

I love the chic and non-fussy vibe of Staud, it’s playful, it’s effortlessly cool, and so is founder Sarah Staudinger. You can follow Staud here if you’re not already.
Pass along The Grateful Gardenia by Janet Gunn to a friend—because style (and gratitude) is better when shared.

Oh, I was on Beverly Dr. here in L.A. and saw there is a Santcuary opening soon!

P.S. - how do you think Sanctuary runs size wise. Askin for a friend.
I’d like to see more fits like this. As a mature woman, I don’t want to wear a miniskirt and I don’t want to wear some big floral print maxi or midi, or a naked dress either!
Would love to see more Summer outfits casual, dressy, in between for a sixty something that still has a vibe, wants to look like a grown up. Keep it coming my friend!
